Since 2022, with the opening to the international scene of the festival, POLIS has been actively collaborating with the DIT – Department of Interpretation and Translation of the University of Bologna – Based in Forlì to create surtitles of some of the performances staged at the festival, so as to make them accessible to the entire audience.

Specifically, the students enrolled in the Master’s Degree Program in Specialized Translation carry out translation activities, either in the form of participation in the teachings, depending on the languages involved, or independently, with assigned work. The modules are both curricular (with university credits) and extracurricular.

The activities are held in the second semester of the academic year and include, in addition to lectures, participation as audience (both faculty and students) in the POLIS Teatro Festival’s performances for which translations have taken place.

An unique opportunity for exchange, through which the students come into direct relations with the festival’s guest companies.
