Round Table And after Generation T? Spotlight on the present
A dialogue between Damiano Pellegrino, Stefano Romagnoli, Maura Teofili, POLIS NEON’s companies, coordinated by Laura Palmieri.
The title of this meeting is meant to be a tribute to one of the most thoughtful critics who followed and supported the generation that emerged in Italy in the early 2000s, Renato Palazzi, who called it precisely Generation T. What has moved in the last 20 years? How many other generations have defined themselves? What are they looking for? What are they asking for? These are questions we will try to answer, albeit in an inevitably partial way, together with the young artists present at POLIS NEON.
Laura Palmieri. Since 1983 she began to collaborate with Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana for several television programs on Rai1, dealing with theatrical and other news. Starting in 1988 and until 1995 she works in the Press Office staff of the Spoleto Festival, collaborates in the promotion of some productions distributed in Italy by Andres Neumann, and follows as press office several theater companies. Since 1996 she began working at Rai Radio3 with specific theatrical skills. In addition to curating Rai Radio3’s theatrical programming, since the early 2000s she has led the weekly column Teatri in Prova, in which she gave voice to the Italian contemporary scene, recounting the creative process of the performances together with their protagonists.

Stefano Romagnoli. Spettatoreprofessionista was born in 2016 as a Facebook profile but already in 1996 the passion for theater was realized thanks to the view of the performance directed by Vacis with Eugenio Allegri on stage who later became a very dear friend and main reference for my theatrical vision. In 2019 I am a finalist in the RETE CRITICA award with my project. Since 2021, thanks to Laura Palmieri, I have been a guest on the Rai Radio3 program “Pantagruel”. I collaborate with Oliviero Ponte di Pino on the drafting of the MANIFESTO DELLO SPETTATORE; I am part of the board of TROVAFESTIVAL headed by Giulia Alonzo. To this day I have seen almost 4,000 shows. Since 2023 I have collaborated with the press and promotion office of the SPOLETO FESTIVAL, with the EAT ENOGASTRONOMIA A TEATRO Festival in Spoleto, with FONTEMAGGIORE in Perugia, and with the Teatro San Fedele in Montone (PG).
