“It all began with an erasure… To erase, one need not destroy. Sometimes it is enough simply to cover up, says Minasi, “and this is what has been done with the life, work and legacy of Asja Lacis. The production, therefore, aims to reveal what was hidden, using a narrative approach that tells a story without being overly didactic, sharing experiences to foster empathy and curiosity. A narrative that, by alternating moments of storytelling, pause and performance on stage – thanks also to the exquisite musical and vocal counterpoint provided by musician Irida Gjergji – seeks to offer a portrait of a life, and at the same time of the work of the artist and the woman, mother, lover and muse.”
