Marco De Marinis was a professor of Theatre Disciplines at the University of Bologna, where he directed “La Soffitta” Theater Center from 2004 to 2017. In 1999, he founded the journal “Culture Teatrali”, now at number 31. He has taught at numerous foreign universities. He is a member of the scientific team of ISTA, International School of Theatre Anthropology, directed by Eugenio Barba. Many of his books and articles are translated into major languages. Recent published works include: Etienne Decroux and His Theatre Laboratory, Icarus/Routledge, 2015; Ripensare il Novecento teatrale. Paesaggi e spaesamenti, Bulzoni, 2018; Per una politica della performance, Editoria & Spettacolo, 2020; Grotowski. Il superamento della rappresentazione, Editoria & Spettacolo, 2023.

ErosAntEros was born from the union of Davide Sacco, stage director, and Agata Tomšič, actress and dramaturg, in 2010. Their artistic research brings forward an engaged theater that does not give up the aesthetic value of form, in a strong relation whit the history, the present and the places in which is created, with the aim to connect theater to life and make the imagination a weapon to transform reality. Since 2018 they are directing POLIS Teatro Festival in Ravenna.

Aldo Milohnić, PhD, is a professor of theatre history at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television of the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and the head of the Theatre and Film Studies Centre. He is author of the monographs Theories of Contemporary Theatre and Performance (2009), Art in Times of the Rule of Law and Capital (2016), Theatre of Resistance (2021), I Worked for 40 Years: Dramatisations and Adaptations of Cankar’s The Bailiff Yerney (2022) and co-author of several other books (Culture Ltd. and It’s Time for Brecht, among others ). He is author of numerous articles in academic journals and editor of anthologies and special issues of performing arts journals (Theatre of Resistance; The Politicality of Performance; Pupilcheks Arrived – 40 Years of the Pupilija Ferkeverk Theatre; Artivism; Brecht/Gestus; How to Do Things with Words in Theatre; Women in Theatre, etc.). His research interests include the history and theory of theatre, contemporary performing practices and the sociology of culture and arts. He is also a dramaturg and a curator of exhibitions, conferences and symposiums in the field of performing arts. He is a member of the editorial boards of performing arts journals Amfiteater and European Journal of Theatre and Performance and a scientific board member of the journal Connessioni remote. He is also a member of the Association of Theatre Critics and Researchers of Slovenia and International Federation for Theatre Research as well as a board member of the Slovenian Theatre Institute and the European Association for the Study of Theatre and Performance.
